THE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA OF BARRINGTON AT ST. JOHN’S—Spring “Open House” Concert
Members of The Chamber Orchestra of Barrington at St. John’s (COBSJ) will perform a free concert of chamber music at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The program will be the culmination of the ensembles from the 3rd season (2019-2020) under the baton of conductor Edward Markward. The format will be an informal “open house” setting. The public is invited to attend for as long, or short a period of time as they wish. Members of the orchestra will perform in a variety of musical combinations throughout the afternoon: string quartets, duets, quintet, trios and other instrumental combinations. At the conclusion of each segment, musicians will be available to chat with audience members. Refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon. In August 2017, The Chamber Orchestra of Barrington evolved from a shared vision by friends and musical colleagues to create an ensemble of the highest caliber musicians to perform some of the greatest works in the classical repertoire. Starting in September 2019, the Chamber Orchestra of Barrington at St. John’s will begin its third season under the leadership of conductor Edward Markward. |
